How to Achieve Long&Healthy Hair! ♥♥
In reality, it doesn't take a lot to achieve long & healthy hair. If you treat those gorgeous locks right, it'll be long & healthy in no time!

Steps to Longer Locks♥

&// Avoid Brushing Wet Hair
Brushes tend to cause a lot of breakage to your hair and take out a lot of your hair, as you can probably tell by the hair that’s in your brush! To avoid this try using a wide tooth comb or if you don’t like combs, use a natural bristle brush. ♥

&// Stimulate Hair Growth!
If you stimulate the hair follicles, your hair tends to grow faster! So on a daily basis, tip your head upside down and massage your scalp for about 1-3 minutes. This seems weird, but I have noticed it helps c:

&// Don’t Wash it Everyday!
Washing it everyday doesn’t help your hair at all, full stop. It can dry out our hair and make it brittle. If you feel you have to wash your hair everyday, like myself then consider investing in a dry shampoo and using that on your roots. It works wonders! If you can’t afford one, use baby powder instead! It soaks up all the grease in your hair and leaves it looking nice again. Just watch out if your hair is extremely dark, otherwise the powder could leave a white residue to it. ♥

&// Use a Sulfate Free Shampoo!
Why sulfate free? Because it doesn’t strip your hair of its natural chemicals/oils like a regular shampoo does. The only thing is, these can be a little bit pricey but I’ve heard that some people haven’t even used a conditioner since buying a sulfate free shampoo! :D

&// Don’t Get Your Hair Trimmed!
I think we’ve all heard that we should get our hair trimmed to get rid of split ends… We don’t have to really. Truthfully, doing this won’t make your hair any longer. On average, our hair grows ½’’ a month, so if we get our hair trimmed every 8 weeks, you’re cutting off what’s just grown. Hair grows from our scalp, not the ends! So a split end won’t stop it growing. However, if your split ends are terrible then that's obviously an exception to get it trimmed (:

&// Don’t Wear Your Hair Up All Day!
Wearing your hair up all day can put strain on your hair. Take it down once your day at school/college/work is finished, to give it a break. Also don’t wear any accessories in your hair before going to bed. When you’re tossing and turning to get comfy in bed, the accessories will be pulling on your hair and can cause breakage. Avoid it if you can, I know some people have to tie it back because their face is oily and they have spots. If that’s the case, wear a fabric headband to keep your hair back. They keep ALL your hair out of your face. ♥

&// Condition Oily Hair!
If you suffer from greasy hair a lot, then consider using a hair mask weekly, or invest in a deep conditioner. A lot of people think that these make your hair greasier, but it doesn’t. Maybe if you use the daily, but weekly, it will benefit your hair! It will nourish and it will strengthen your locks, and that will help it grow faster c:

Steps to Healthy Hair♥
&// Have a Healthy Balanced Diet!
If you eat a healthy balanced diet, you’d do wonders for your whole body, let alone your hair! Eating healthily has so many benefits to it.

&// OMEGA 3!
Omega 3 is really good for us, and our hair, so eat some protein. :)

&// Hair Masks!
Hair masks are AH-MA-ZIING! They give our hair shine, keep it soft and are just awesome! Some good ingredients for a hair mask are avocadoes, eggs, essential oils, coconut oil/milk, almond oils, apple cider vinegar, honey or yoghurt. ♥

&// Avoid Chlorine!
We all love going swimming but I’m afraid the chlorine in a pool is bad for our hair! However, if you love going swimming, comb conditioner all throughout your hair because this will protect it from the chlorine or just simply wear a cap. c:

&// AVOID HEAT!
Heat is THE worst thing for our hair. This is probably the hardest step for most of us because that means we can’t use straighteners or a blowdryer. It’s easy enough to stop blowdrying your hair though, just let your hair air dry! If you shower at night, put a towel down on top of your pillow and sleep on it. If you shower in the morning, then let it air dry, maybe wrap it in a towel, for as long as you can before using any heat. Just watch out if you wrap it in a towel, if it’s not COMPLETELY dry after you take it out of the towel, then bacteria and fungus could potentially grow on your scalp! (EW!) To avoid using straighteners, try going au-naturale for once, or use a no-heat method. c: If you like your hair curled, again, look for no heat methods! There are plenty on the internet. I'd suggest this girl on YouTube, she's the no-heat curls queen! http://www.youtube.com/user/beautyklove

&// Avoid Product
Product can gunk up our hair if we use too much of it. Most product isn’t actually needed, like a shine spray or even hairspray. You can live without it!

&// Protect your Hair from the Sun!
Most people forget that the sun can actually damage your hair too. Invest in an SPF spray for your hair or wear a hat.

&// Thickening Shampoos!
If you suffer from extremely oily hair, use a thickening shampoo. These clear your scalp and as a bonus, it will give your hair a lift and thicken it. ♥

&// Radishes?
This trick is sooooooooooo weird but I’ve heard it does work wonders, haha! All you have to do is get the radish juice, boil it and massage it into your scalp. Rinse out afterwards. This will help get rid of any dandruff supposedly! This is one I’ll have to try out myself. c:

Well that's all for now! (:

Bleaching Your HAiR! ♥

7 months ago - 83 views
Bleaching Your HAiR! ♥
Hello! Caitlin here c: ♥ I'm sorry I haven't made tips in like ages, but this is just for an audition. c:

Bleaching your hair is really bad for it, and it is best you don’t do it, but if you like dying your hair, you kind of have to! What bleaching does to your hair is, it sort of ‘burns’ the colour chemicals in your hair, and the chemicals in the bleach turn it lighter. It goes lighter in stages; some faster than others, depending on the strength of the bleach. Starting from really dark hair, like dark brown, it’ll go from a dark orange/copper colour, to orange, to a dark yellow, to light yellow, to white. That is the stages it would go in. If your hair is lighter then it’d be somewhere in the middle of the stages. If you want to speed up the process, then take some plastic bags and wrap it around the parts of your hair that you bleached. Make sure it is a clear bag though, so you can keep an eye on the colour. The bleach will become warm/hot on your hair, so don’t worry about it this is just the bleach working. Usually you can tell if it’s ready or not; the hotter it is, the nearer to ready it is. ♥♥

The bad thing about bleaching your hair is the state it’s left in afterwards. Your hair will be extremely dry, straw-like. It will feel disgusting to touch, and it’ll be extremely frizzy! Also, you’ll get a lot of split-ends. ♥
If you bleach your hair too often though, your hair will start to come out in clumps and fall out. This would take a lot of bleaching, so if you bleach your hair like 2 times, it won’t fall out. It will fall out only if you bleach it regularly. ♥

To care for your hair after you’ve bleached it, you’ll need a lot of conditioner. What I’ve been doing lately, as I’ve just recently bleached my own hair to make it ombre, is using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I use my shampoo and lather it into my hair and put a ton of conditioner on my ends, leave it for a minute and then wash it out. Then when I go to blow dry my hair, I use a heat protectant and a leave in conditioner on my ends. Once a week I’ll also shower at night, and lather all my hair with conditioner, but I won’t wash it out. I’ll sleep on it, and wash it out in the morning. ♥

So that’s what I know about bleaching your hair. :D If you know anything about bleaching your hair, put a comment below c:

&//Facemask Ingredients and a DIY!
Hellooo!
So, in this tip I will show you one DIY facemask and what the ingredients in a facemask can do for you! c:

Ingredients in a Facemask:
Coffee and Cocoa
Use coffee grounds and cocoa powder to brighten a dull complexion and decrease puffiness in your face. Amazing for dry, oily and dehydrated skin! :D
Pumpkin
Pumpkin pulp is full of antioxidants, meaning it is full of vitamins which help protect your body cells!
Sugar
Sugar is a preferred exfoliant to salt because it isn't as rough on the skin as salt. When dead skin collects on the surface of skin, it's important to get rid of it, or it could cause acne and block your pores.
Fruit Juices
Strawberry and lemon juice contain natural astringents which tighten your pores making them smaller and also cleans your face/pores.
Clay
Clay helps to draw out excess sebum from pores and helps neutralize your skin. c:
Strawberry
Strawberries are a natural source of salicylic acid which can help get rid of icky acne!
Brown Sugar
Brown sugar is a natural exfoliant that works for all skin types.
Avacado/Honey
Avocados and honey are very moisturising for your skin.
Roses
A rose-based mask is perfect for balancing out the oily and dry areas of your skin.
Eggs
Egg white gives a tightening effect on the skin. Egg yolks moisturize.

That's just some common ingredients in facemasks! Credit for info to- http://beauty.about.com/od/skinflaws/a/facemasks.htm (This website is absolutely amazing, and the link has a ton of DIY facemaks.)

DIY Facemask
What you'll need:
Lemon juice
Egg whites
Honey
Strawberries
Bowl
Something to mix/mash
Optional: Your Favourite Essential Oils

Preparing
1. Take your bowl, and firstly put 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
2. Then put in 2 egg whites, 3 teaspoons of honey, 1 cup of strawberries, and if you took the optional option 4 drops of the essential oils.
3. Mix and mash them together.
4. Apply it to your face for 10 minutes. Rinse.

Girl's Emergency Kit❤c:

Girl's Emergency Kit❤c:
Heya :3 This was requested.
So, every girl needs an emergency kit, right? It's a must once you're older.

I realised I needed one when I 'started', if you know what I mean. I needed to take some pads and stuff around with me, in case of an accident. :/ I got a little pouch, where I kept everything that I'd need in an 'emergency', so I could carry it around in my bag. I had 2, one for school and one for when I was going out.
Anyway, this is what I'd keep in it.
-Pads/Tampons
These are a must once you get to about 11/12. That's the age where you could start at any moment. It might seem a bit weird since you haven't started, but it's better to be safe than sorry. And plus, you could probably save your BFF too.. c;
-Pairs of underwear
This'll seem super embarrassing, but continuing on from your period, you may leak. You'll definitely need another pair!
-Hair ties and curvy grips (bobby pins..)
These are optional, but whenever your hair starts to get uncontrolable when you're out, it's good to have some hair ties and curvy grips with you.
-Pop out hair brush
One of those ones that fold up, pop out and have a mini compact mirror. :3
-Deodrant
Need I explain? B.O! No one likes the smell of it, eek!
-Mints/Chewing gum
I take some everywhere, because it's best you have some, just in case of smelly breath. c:
-Paracetamol/4head
These seriously will save your life. Lets say you're out, then you get a headache and a sore throat. And you can't go home! You'll have some paracetamol in your kit to take, and then 4head to rub across your forehead.
-Perfume
Just so you don't smell icky. And for a nice touch up.
-Tissues
Just in case you feel a cold coming on, or if you have a little booger c;
-Money
Just a tiny bit like maybe £5 or $8 (I think that's equivalent to £5 in USD.) and then a few coins. I would've said less, but the way money is lately...
-Dry Handwash
You know those mini bottles of handwash where you don't have to dry your hands? Those. Just in case you can't wash your hands before having a bite to eat. c:
-Plasters/bandaids
For when you get an ouchy. :3
-Vaseline
I chose vaseline for a specific reason; it does basically everything! It can fix fly-aways in your hair, you can use it for your lips, use it to give your lashes a bit of a lift, tons! :D So, for me this is a must.
-A pair of socks
This'll sound weird, but where I live it rains a TON! And sometimes the rain gets into my shoes, and my socks are soaked and I hate it. :c So I carry a spare pair, just in case.

So, that's it for me. Comment if you have any other stuff you could put in an emergency kit. :3 Hope this was helpful girlies! ❤

school checklist&& c:

school checklist&& c:
I was feeling creative with this set, can't you tell? Hehe! :3

So, we all need a checklist of what to buy. This is what is on my list. c:

-Clothes-
So, we all need something to wear! Some of us may have uniform, others may not. I have uniform, so this is what I'd buy:
-Uniform!
Well... duh. My school policy states you need something with the school badge on it, or you'll get sent to the office for dresscode. So I'd buy (Or my mum would, hehe.. :L) my schools uniform.
-Shirts!
Black and white shirts.
-Cardigan!
Black cardigan. One thick (for winter) and one thin-ish. (for summer)
-Trousers
I ALWAYS get skinny jeans. I can't wear black casual trousers, because it just hangs on me and doesn't do anything for my figure. I buy 3 pairs of black skinny jeans, because they give me some shape.
-Skirt
I don't tend to wear skirts, but I'm trying to get into wearing them. I buy a pencil skirt.
-Socks/Tights
I just buy these because... I need them. :P
-Shoes!
I get one pair of boots, trainers for PE, converse (Or just something cheap in the style of them.), and flats.
-PE KIT!
I buy some trackie pants/sweatpants, cropped pants, and some shorts. A hoodie, sweatshirt and a zippie. Trainers, as above and just some tank tops, tees, and sporting tops.

-SCHOOL SUPPLIES!-
This is the main thing we need in our school checklist, obviously.

-Pens, pencils and sharpener!
These are a MUST. Get both and pens and pencils, and possibly buy extras because without a doubt, other people will ask for your pens or pencils. You'll also need the sharpener, otherwise it's kind of pointless to get pencils.
-School baaaaaag!
:D I love buying my school bag, idk why. Last year I had a sort of miniature overnight bag. This year I'm getting a leather rucksack style bag from Claires. On PE days I'll use my bag from the previous year, since it's waaay bigger!
-Folders and dividers
I get folders for every single subject, except the ones I know I don't need anything for. I'd get one clip folder to store everything, and that's where I'd use the dividers, then I'd get a pocket folder for the rest of my subjects.
-Notebooks and paper
I get one huge one, one small one and then just extra pieces of paper, of which I'd store in my clip folder.
-Erasers and tipex
Always always buy your own tipex! The schools tipex is bought quite cheaply and it dries out quickly. Erasers, well... that's pretty obvious.
-Calculator
Buy a scientific calculator, so you can use it for science and math. Once you buy one once, you don't need to buy another. Unless of course it breaks ;)

So that's all I need to get personally. If you guys get anymore for school put it in the comments. :D

DIY:- Jewelled/Glitterfied Lightswitch c:
Hello there! :D Again, I apologise for the lack of tips, but it's near the end of the school year, so, lots of tips should be up!
Anyway, on with the DIY. c:
~*~*~*~*~
You Need:
Stick on Gems
OR!
Gems/Glitter (Or anything else that you can stick on. :3)
Super glue
Marker pen
Blowdryer
Rubber Gloves
Tweezers
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Glitterfied<3

1. Unscrew your lightswitch from the wall, and sit it on a surface. If you can't take it off of the wall, get a surface to put underneath the lightswitch and put paper on the surface to catch falling glitter.
2. Get your glue, it can be PVA glue or superglue, superglue is more permanent though. Smear the glue all over the lightswitch, be careful not to get it on the screws or the actual switch. c:
3. Quickly after, so that the glue doesn't dry, get your glitter and pour it onto the lightswitch. If your one is still on the wall, put some rubber gloves on and carefully smear the glitter onto it. (Note: Don't use superglue if you're doing it that way, your hands will most likely get stuck to the switch! :L)
4. Once you've got all of it covered, let it dry for a few hours, possibly overnight!
5. Once you've let it dry, take your blowdryer to it to get spare glitter off.
6. Screw it back onto the wall, and you're done! <3

Jewelled

There is 2 ways to doing this one. The first one is more time consuming, but fun!
1. Again, unscrew your lightswitch from the wall, and sit it on a surface. If you can't take it off of the wall, get a surface to put underneath the lightswitch.
2. Get your marker and mark dots on where you're going to place the gems.
3. Once you're finished that, put one glob of superglue on one of the dots! Then put a gem on top of the glue using your tweezers to position them.. Do this one at a time, so that the glue doesn't dry out.
4. Once you're finished, let it dry overnight.
5. Screw it back onto the wall and you're done! <3

Another way to do it!
This is so easy, it doesn't even need steps. All you do is stick on some sticky gems onto your lightswitch. You don't even need to take it off of the wall! :3 It's not as permanent I guess you could say as the first way, but it still looks good. You can use your tweezers to position the gems for this too. c:

I hope you all liked this, it's soo much fun and adds some jazz to a room. c;

HTW: Beaaaanies :D

HTW: Beaaaanies :D
I'm soooo sorry for not being on. I've been super busy with school and stuff. :c
Anyway, here is how I'd wear beanies.. :3

Pandaa:
So obviously, I have my panda beanie. Have it just sorta sloping/sitting on the back of your head, like all the beanies for these looks. Then have a big, oversized knitted sweater, high wasted black shorts and a pair of vans complete it. Add your own accessories to this, I feel this is a sort of fun but edgy look, so I'd wear sorta grungy accessories!

Pop of Colour:
For this look, I have my clothing really neutral and plain. I have my top and jeans the same colour and then have my accessories and shoes add the pop of colour! I got inspired by Acacia Brinley for this look. c:

Pompom:
I'll have my pompom beanie, obviously. Then I'd wear a knitted jumper in the same shade as the beanie, and have some ripped jeans to add a bit of edge to your outfit. For the shoes I'd have some wedges in the same shade as the top and the beanie. For accessories, I'd pile on the bracelets! This is so in right now, and I just feel it goes nicely with this look. c: I'd pair it with some feather earrings and a long necklace.

Ooh Lala!:
My French look, hehe! :3 It's just all the typical French stuff. A beret and a striped top!(Make sure the stripes don't go sideways, it makes you appear bigger.) I'd wear some white capris and some bright flats with a scarf that matches!

Teehee. Hope you liked!

11. Fun iPhone Apps:! :D

11. Fun iPhone Apps:! :D
Sorry for the poor set, I'm in a rush tonight! <3
11.
Fun Apps for your iPhone!
Hey! So basically, these are just the apps I have on my iPhone, with a little bit about it and a rating out of 5! :3

1. Facebook
I'm pretty sure that we've all heard of Facebook... But just in case, it's a social networking site.
4/5
2. Tumblr
I love tumblr! :D I follow a ton of people on tumblr, and I love reblogging things. There is something for everyone on the website... even the guys. ;)
5/5
3. Bubblewrap
I just find this app really amusing! :L I love listening to it with headphones on, the sound effects are awesome!
3/5
4. Draw Something
This game is sooooooooooo addictive! :o It's a bit like iSketch, except you can write words, and you can't get chucked out of the room. I will admit, after a while it gets really really boring, but then once you start playing again, it's addictive. :3
4/5
5. Angry Birds
I haven't really played this on my phone, I must admit but I love it on the iPad. It's a really addictive game, yet again.
4/5
6. Doodle Jump
OMG! I LOVE THIS GAME! :O I absolutely love it, even though the aim of the game is kinda... Well, pointless. But it's just so fun! (:
5/5!
7. Logos Quiz
This game, I love, but it gets suuuuuuuuuuuuuper irritating when you can't figure out the logo. It should be easy for Americans, since most of the logos are American. It's addictive, again! Haha!
3/5
8. New Look
So, this is one of my favourite clothing websites. The app itself isn't very good, it's kinda slow, but you can still look at the clothing and the new stuff. ^.^
2/5
9. Tap Tap Revenge 4
I love this! The music is pretty awesome! (: I love playing it, it's super fun and challenging at times.
4/5
10. Slide
This game can get suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper confusing! Haha! I like playing it though. It's just where you have the unlock slide, except you have to unlock them one after the other. Once your screen fills up with the slides, it's game over. There is 4 other levels, making a twist.
3/5
11. Instagram
LOOOOOOVE THIS! Idk why, but I just love it! Teehee! :3 You can take a photo, add some different filters where the picture can look kinda funny, add a caption and then you can post it! Other people will view it too. :3
6/5 ;)
12. Lighter
I use this when I'm at concerts. ;) I find it hilarious. It's just like a lighter on your screen really.
3/5
13. Rage Comics
I love reading these, they are hilarious! It's kind of like Reddit.
4/5
14. SMS Rage Faces
So this is just the faces taken from the rage comics, and you can send them to your friends.
3/5
15. Temple Run
OHMYGAWSH! This is so addictive!! I love this game so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much! :o Basically, your character person has stolen something from a temple, and you run out of the temple with these huge scary mutant monkey things, and you have to avoid a ton of obstacles and stuff.
5/5
16. Grand Theft Auto
Ik this is an 18... But c'mon, it's so addictive! :/ I love this game, and sadly, I find it amusing. The graphics are pretty poor though, that's the only bad thing. What you do in the game is, you're this guy that's been broken out of a police van on the way to prison. You have to do a ton of missions, where you have to... I guess you could say assassinate some people that the guy you're working for hates. There is a lot of bad language and graphical stuff in it, so definitely ask your parents before getting this.
4/5
17. Moron Test
This is SO freaking addictive! :o What you do is, you take a 'test'. It's a bunch of simple questions/activities, that are easy to fail. Some take a lot of thinking, and once you get it you always feel like a real idiot. I sometimes get frustrated with this because I fail over and over and I eventually just quit... Teehee. :3
4/5

So that's most of my apps. All are free except from 4, 5, 6, 16&17. 4,5,6&16 all have free versions though.
I'm not posting my instagram or tumblr for now.

10. Dressing Up&Dressing Doown:<3

11 months ago - 866 views
10. Dressing Up&Dressing Doown:<3
Tip 10.
Dressing up simple clothes, dressing down fancy clothes!
There's the looks up there!

1. You can only really wear that prom dress once, can't you. WRONG! Reuse your prom dress for the beach! Add a denim shirt on top of it and knot it. Then some simple sandals and a straw hat can complete the look! Done!
2. It's kinda hard to wear a sweater for a formal occasion. To dress it up, wear some skinny jeans with it. Not denim, that's too casual, coloured makes it better. Add some nice heels or wedges and a clutch.
3. A black dress! To dress it down, for maybe work, add a nice bright blazer and 3/4 leggings. Wear some pretty flats and a nice headband.
4. A blue tank top. How do you wear that fancy?! Easy! Wear it with a pretty white skirt, a white blazor and some wedges. Instantly dressed up.

Obviously add some accessories to these! :D I would've added more to the set, but I couldn't because of the limit. :[ Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this! ^.^

9. Weekened Long Maakeoverrr!*&

9. Weekened Long Maakeoverrr!*&
Tip 9.
Weekend Long Makeover!
Hey guys! I do this about once a month... Maybe once every 2 months. :3

Friday!
So I'm including Friday night, because I feel that thats when the weekend starts! So anyway, lets start.
❀ On the Friday, possibly after school, I'll go into town to do some shopping! When shopping, I'll buy some new makeup, clothes, face masks, nail polish, spot treatments, possibly some hair dye and a perfume!
❀ I buy these things for a reason. Makeup, just to change up how I look, clothes just to change my style, face maks just for a nice treat, spot treatments to obviously sort out my spots and a perfume to change up my scent. For nail polishes, I'll buy some new shades, like last month it was neons, now it's pastels, etc.
❀ Once I get back, I'll get everything I need for my 'makeover' into a little box. I put it into a box so it's all there.
❀ At night, I'll go for a shower, I don't have a bath, so if you guys have a bath, definitely have a bath! A bath is a lot more relaxing. When I'm having my shower, I'll obviously wash, I'll shave and then get out. If you're in a bath, you can relax! Once I get out, I'll dry myself, moisturise and get into some comfy pyjamas. Then I'll put on a face mask, take it off and then I'll go to dry my hair.
❀ I'll only dry the top of my hair, and my fringe. I'll leave the tips. Then I'll go to bed.

Saturday
❀ Now, I'd get an early start! I'd tie my hair back, and pin my fringe back. I'd start by putting on a face mask, take that off, put on my spot treatments, let that set in, and then moisturise!
❀ Next, I'd put on a self tanner, so I have a nice glow!
❀ Now I'd experiment with my new signature eye look! I'd look at some eye makeup looks online and then I'd try them for myself. I'll sometimes pick 2 or 3, just to swap it around some days!
❀ Next, if I bought some hair dye, I'd dye my hair. Once I've dyed it, I'd give it a quick trim. I would only straighten it up, and cut split ends. I wouldn't do anything drastic! Then I'd change the parting, and dry my hair. Sometimes though, we have a hairdresser to come round to my house and do my hair, so I don't always do this step.
❀ I'd go back on the internet, to find my signature hairstyle! Last month it was a braid, this month it's curls!
❀ Then I'd make up some outfits for the next few days.
❀ Finally I'd have the rest of the day to relax.

Sunday
❀ The final day! So, I'd try on one of my outfits, try my makeup, do my hair, and see how it looks. Sometimes it doesn't look right, so I'd change it.
❀ Then I'd paint my nails, and that's me done! :D

I hope you guys liked this! It's just what I do, so obviously you guys can change some of it.
